Only the Gay Papers Pay Attention

Ironically, and disturbingly, the only publications to make note of the latest development in Ake Green's case are the left coast gay newspaper, the Advocate, and the DC gay paper, the Blade.

The Advocate and the Blade both run an Associated Press piece that says that Green told his church, in a sermon, "that homosexuals were 'a deep cancerous tumor on all of society,’ and warned that Sweden risked a natural disaster because of leniency toward gays."

The piece also calls Sweden hate crimes legislation "tough" and says that it was modified in 2003 to include protection against "attacks" on homosexuals.
